Unlikely State Of Mind

It was langsyne
I sought for a better life
Wanted finer things hugely
Which others has lavishly
Or eat the same tasty meal
At my neighbors’ table for real

It was then I used to believe
Everything was all about it
In persistent seeking
With great intent trying
That once I carry through
Happiness will finally come true

Now that many years have traveled by
All were transformed into a lie
It is not luxury anymore
What I veritably do long for
Literally it is mere peace
My heart yearns the highest

To live with so much freedom
To care and share your own home
To give for no special reason
To love with intense passion
This unlikely state of mind
I have wished-for in my lifetime
